That kind of post is a common engagement tactic on social media. Phrases like “Wrinkles disappear, skin tightens, and youth returns to your face!” followed by “Just say ‘Thank you’ to keep receiving my recipes” are designed to encourage comments, not because commenting affects whether you see future posts.
As for the skincare claim, there’s no recipe or single ingredient that can make wrinkles disappear or restore a youthful face. Skin aging is influenced by factors such as genetics, sun exposure, smoking, and overall health.
Some approaches that do have good scientific evidence for improving the appearance of aging skin include:
- Daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher)
- Topical retinoids (such as prescription retinoids or over-the-counter retinol), introduced gradually
- Moisturizers that contain ingredients like glycerin, ceramides, or hyaluronic acid
- A balanced diet, adequate sleep, and avoiding smoking
If a post eventually reveals a homemade mask or recipe, it may temporarily hydrate the skin and make it look smoother, but it won’t permanently tighten skin or erase wrinkles.
If you have a specific recipe from the post, share it here and I can explain what each ingredient is likely to do—and whether there’s evidence that it helps.
