My nana taught me this hack to make dusty blinds sparkle in 2 mins with 0 work. Here’s how it works

If you’re referring to a viral “grandma hack” for cleaning dusty blinds, the trick is usually this:

  1. Grab a pair of old socks (preferably microfiber or cotton).
  2. Put one sock over your hand like a glove.
  3. Lightly dampen it with water (or a small amount of diluted vinegar solution if your blinds are not sensitive to moisture).
  4. Run your hand along each blind slat, pinching the slat between your fingers.
  5. Flip the sock to a clean side or replace it as it collects dust.

For extra shine:

  • Add a tiny drop of dish soap to warm water for greasy kitchen blinds.
  • Dry the slats afterward to prevent water spots.
  • Avoid soaking wooden blinds—too much moisture can warp them.

The “2 minutes with 0 work” part is mostly a catchy exaggeration; the method is quick, but heavily dusty blinds still need some wiping effort. It works because the fabric traps dust instead of just pushing it around.
