Lemon Shrimp Pasta

Here’s a simple and delicious Lemon Shrimp Pasta recipe you can make at home in about 20–25 minutes.

🍝 Lemon Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients

  • 250g pasta (spaghetti or linguine works best)
  • 250–300g shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2–3 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 3–4 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional but great flavor)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or coriander
  • ¼ cup pasta water (saved from boiling)

Instructions

1. Cook the pasta

  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente
  • Save ¼ cup of pasta water before draining

2. Cook the shrimp

  • Heat oil or butter in a pan
  • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds
  • Add shrimp, salt, pepper, and chili flakes
  • Cook 2–3 minutes until pink and done

3. Make the lemon sauce

  • Add lemon juice + zest to the pan
  • Stir in a little pasta water to create a light sauce

4. Combine

  • Add cooked pasta into the pan
  • Toss everything together until well coated

5. Finish

  • Add parsley/coriander
  • Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or lemon

🍋 Tips for best flavor

  • Don’t overcook shrimp (they become rubbery fast)
  • Fresh lemon juice makes a big difference
  • A little butter at the end makes it richer
  • Add parmesan if you like a creamy touch
