Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread (white, brown, or sourdough)
  • 2–4 tablespoons grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mix)
  • 1–2 teaspoons butter (optional but improves crispiness)
  • Black pepper or chili flakes (optional)
  • Oregano or mixed herbs (optional)

Instructions (Air Fryer Method)

  1. Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 2–3 minutes.
  2. Prepare bread
    • Lightly butter one side of each slice (optional but recommended).
    • Place bread butter-side down in the air fryer basket or tray.
  3. Add cheese
    • Spread grated cheese evenly on top.
    • Add seasonings if you like (oregano, chili flakes, pepper).
  4. Air fry
    • Cook at 180°C for 4–6 minutes
    • Stop when cheese is melted and edges are golden and crispy.
  5. Serve immediately
    • Best eaten hot while cheese is stretchy and toast is crisp.

Tips for better results

  • Use a mix of mozzarella (for stretch) + cheddar (for flavor)
  • Don’t overload cheese or it may drip
  • For extra crunch, toast bread 1–2 minutes first, then add cheese and finish
