Honestly, does anyone here actually eat Brussels sprouts?

Yes—more people eat Brussels sprouts than you might think. They just don’t always advertise it because of the old reputation they used to have.

The truth is, Brussels sprouts used to be genuinely bitter when overboiled, so a lot of people grew up disliking them. But modern cooking methods changed that a lot. When they’re roasted, air-fried, or pan-seared, they get crispy, slightly sweet, and honestly pretty addictive.

That’s why they show up a lot in restaurants now—especially with things like:

  • garlic and parmesan
  • balsamic glaze
  • bacon or chili flakes
  • honey or maple roasting

They’ve basically gone from “forced childhood vegetable” to “trendy side dish” in a lot of places.

So yes—people definitely eat them. The real split is just:

  • boiled = childhood trauma
  • roasted = “wait… this is actually good”

If you’ve only ever had the soggy version, it makes sense to be skeptical.
