THIS burns weeds in 1 day! They NEVER grow again

That claim is another classic social media exaggeration. There is no safe or reliable method that “burns weeds in 1 day and makes them never grow again.”

Weeds are plants with roots. Even if the top dies quickly, the roots often survive and regrow unless fully removed or repeatedly controlled.

What people usually mean by “burns weeds”

Most videos refer to one of these:

1. Vinegar-based sprays

  • Acetic acid (vinegar) can dry out leaves
  • Works only on young, small weeds
  • Does not kill deep roots
  • Weeds often regrow

2. Salt mixtures

  • Can kill plants by dehydration
  • ❌ But it also poisons the soil
  • Makes the area unable to grow anything for a long time (even grass or flowers)

3. Boiling water

  • Kills surface growth instantly
  • Useful for cracks in pavement
  • Roots may still survive in many cases

4. Chemical herbicides

  • Products containing glyphosate or similar compounds
  • More effective, but still require proper application and time
  • Not “instant forever” solutions

Why weeds keep coming back

Weeds survive because they:

  • Have deep or spreading roots
  • Produce thousands of seeds
  • Grow back from fragments
  • Reappear from nearby soil

What actually works long-term

✔ Remove the root

Manual removal is still one of the most effective methods.

✔ Block sunlight

Mulch, cardboard, or ground cover plants help prevent regrowth.

✔ Repeated control

Weed control is usually ongoing maintenance, not a one-time trick.

✔ Healthy plants

Dense grass or plants naturally reduce weed growth by blocking space.

Bottom line

No spray, mix, or “hack” can guarantee weeds will never grow again in one day. At best, you may temporarily kill the visible plant, but long-term control requires root removal and prevention.

If you want, tell me what type of weeds you have (grass weeds, broadleaf, driveway cracks, garden beds), and I can suggest a safe and effective method for your exact situation.
