Sloppy Joe Casserole Recipe
A cozy, cheesy twist on classic sloppy joes—easy to make and perfect for a family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 can (15 oz / 425 g) sloppy joe sauce (or homemade sauce)
- 2 cups cooked pasta (such as elbow macaroni or rotini)
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until the beef is cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the sloppy joe sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta and mix until everything is well combined.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

- Corn for a sweet crunch
- Crushed crackers or breadcrumbs on top for a crispy finish
- Pickled jalapeños for a spicy kick
