Visible veins in your hands are usually not a sign of calcium deficiency. They’re commonly caused by normal factors such as:
- Thin or fair skin
- Low body fat
- Aging (skin becomes thinner)
- Exercise or heat (veins expand)
- Genetics
In some cases, very prominent veins can be linked to circulation issues or varicose veins, but that’s different from calcium deficiency.
A true calcium deficiency may cause symptoms like:
- Muscle cramps or spasms
- Tingling in fingers/lips
- Weak or brittle nails
- Fatigue
- Bone problems
If the veins suddenly became much more visible, are painful, swollen, or accompanied by other symptoms, it’s worth checking with a doctor.
