Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet (about 25 g) chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup (240 ml) chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook:
    • Low: 5–6 hours, or
    • High: 2½–3½ hours
  5. Once the chicken is tender, remove it and shred or slice if desired.
  6. Stir the gravy well. If you’d like it thicker, leave the lid off for 15–20 minutes on high.
  7. Return the chicken to the slow cooker and coat it with the gravy before serving.

  • 1 small sliced onion
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or rosemary
  • ½ cup sour cream stirred in at the end for extra richness
