Honey Garlic Chicken: Sweet, Sticky, and Irresistible

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken (boneless pieces or small cubes)
  • 3–4 tablespoons honey
  • 4–5 garlic cloves (finely chopped or crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour (optional, for thick sauce)

Instructions

1. Prepare the chicken

  • Wash and cut chicken into bite-sized pieces
  • Season with salt and pepper

2. Cook the chicken

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Fry chicken until golden and cooked through
  • Remove excess oil if needed

3. Make the sauce

  • In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds
  • Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar/lemon juice, and chili flakes
  • Stir well and let it bubble

4. Thicken (optional)

  • Mix cornflour with 2 tablespoons water
  • Add to sauce and stir until glossy and sticky

5. Combine

  • Add chicken back into the pan
