What can appear in the feet (but NOT specific to “1 month before” a heart attack)
1. Cold feet or poor circulation
May suggest reduced blood flow due to peripheral artery disease.
2. Swelling in feet or ankles
Can be linked to heart, kidney, or vein issues—but also many non-heart causes.
3. Numbness or tingling
Often related to diabetes or nerve issues, not specifically heart attacks.
4. Pain when walking (claudication)
May indicate peripheral artery disease.
5. Slow-healing wounds on feet
Common in diabetes or circulation problems.
6. Skin color changes (pale or bluish feet)
Can indicate circulation issues that need medical evaluation.
Important reality check
- These symptoms are not a countdown to a heart attack
- Many people with these signs never have a heart attack
- Some heart attacks happen without any foot symptoms at all
Real early warning signs of a heart attack
More reliable symptoms include:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Pain spreading to arm, jaw, or back
- Shortness of breath
- Sudden sweating, nausea, or dizziness
