Air Fryer Cod Recipe (Crispy & Simple)
Ingredients
- 2 cod fillets (about 150–200 g each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs or panko (optional, for a crispy coating)
Instructions
- Prepare the cod
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
- Brush with olive oil and lemon juice.
- Season
- Mix garlic powder, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Sprinkle over both sides of the fish.
- For a crispier version, press breadcrumbs onto the top side.
- Air fry
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 3 minutes.
- Place cod in the basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 8–12 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches about 63°C (145°F) internally.
- Serve
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon.
- Serve with vegetables, salad, rice, potatoes, or a light sauce.
Tip: Avoid overcooking cod—its texture is best when it is just cooked through and still moist.
