Air Fryer Cod Recipe (Crispy & Simple)

Ingredients

  • 2 cod fillets (about 150–200 g each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs or panko (optional, for a crispy coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cod
    • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
    • Brush with olive oil and lemon juice.
  2. Season
    • Mix garlic powder, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper.
    • Sprinkle over both sides of the fish.
    • For a crispier version, press breadcrumbs onto the top side.
  3. Air fry
    • Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 3 minutes.
    • Place cod in the basket in a single layer.
    • Cook for 8–12 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches about 63°C (145°F) internally.
  4. Serve
    • Add a squeeze of fresh lemon.
    • Serve with vegetables, salad, rice, potatoes, or a light sauce.

Tip: Avoid overcooking cod—its texture is best when it is just cooked through and still moist.
