Honestly, does anyone here actually eat Brussels sprouts?..

Yes—people definitely do, and they’re more popular now than they used to be.

Brussels sprouts (the small green buds from Brussels sprouts) used to have a bad reputation because they were often overboiled, which made them bitter and mushy. That version is probably what created the “nobody eats these” stereotype.

But when cooked properly, they’re widely eaten and even liked:

Roasting or air-frying brings out a nutty, slightly sweet flavor because the outer leaves caramelize. Many people also enjoy them sautéed with garlic, olive oil, bacon, parmesan, or balsamic glaze.

They’re also nutritionally strong—high in fiber, vitamin C, and vitamin K—so they show up often in modern “healthy eating” diets.

So the honest answer:
Not everyone loves them, but plenty of people do—especially with better cooking methods. The hate is mostly leftover from bad preparation, not the vegetable itself.

If you want, I can share a simple way to cook them that usually wins over even skeptics.
