Ingredients

Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (for crispiness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chili flakes or sriracha (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thicker sauce)

Garnish

  • Sesame seeds
  • Green onions

Oven Method

  1. Pat wings very dry with paper towels.
  2. Toss with baking powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Place on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 425°F (220°C):
    • 25 minutes
    • Flip
    • Another 20–25 minutes until crispy.

Air Fryer Method

  1. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 18–22 minutes.
  2. Shake halfway through.

Make the Sauce

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes.
  4. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  5. For thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer 1 minute.

Finish

  • Toss hot wings in the sauce until coated.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Tips

  • Dry wings = crispier skin.
  • Don’t overcrowd the tray or air fryer basket.
  • Sauce the wings right before serving to keep them crispy.

Great with fries, rice, or celery sticks.
