How to remove the dark circle around the faucets

If you mean the dark ring or stain around a faucet base (where the faucet meets the sink or countertop), it is usually caused by hard-water minerals, soap residue, mold/mildew, rust, or grime buildup. Here are effective ways to remove it:

1. White Vinegar Method (for hard-water stains)

You need:

  • White vinegar
  • Soft cloth or paper towel
  • Old toothbrush

Steps:

  1. Soak a cloth with white vinegar.
  2. Wrap it around the dark area for 15–30 minutes.
  3. Scrub gently with a toothbrush.
  4. Rinse with water and dry completely.

2. Baking Soda Paste (for stubborn marks)

Steps:

  1. Mix baking soda with a little water to make a paste.
  2. Apply around the faucet base.
  3. Leave for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Scrub gently and rinse.

3. For Mold or Black Grime Around the Seal

  • Use a small amount of 3% hydrogen peroxide or a bathroom-safe mold cleaner.
  • Let it sit briefly, scrub, and rinse.
  • Improve ventilation to prevent it returning.

4. For Rust Marks

  • Use a rust-removing cleaner suitable for your sink material.
  • Avoid harsh abrasives that can scratch stainless steel, marble, or stone surfaces.

Prevent Future Dark Rings

✅ Wipe around the faucet after use
✅ Dry standing water regularly
✅ Clean the faucet base weekly
✅ Fix leaks that keep the area constantly wet

Important: Avoid mixing vinegar with bleach or bleach-based cleaners, as it can create harmful fumes.

If you tell me whether your faucet is on stainless steel, ceramic, granite, marble, or a plastic sink, and whether the ring is black, brown, or white, I can suggest the safest cleaner.
