Cheesy Cheeseburger Pockets
These handheld cheeseburger pockets are great for lunch, dinner, or a quick snack.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or pizza dough
- 1 tbsp ketchup (optional)
- 1 tsp mustard (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the filling
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned.
- Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard if using.
- Let cool slightly.
- Add the cheese
- Mix the shredded cheddar into the beef mixture.
- Prepare the dough
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough and cut it into squares or circles.
- Fill the pockets
- Place a spoonful of the cheeseburger mixture in the center of each piece of dough.
- Fold over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Bake
- Place on a lined baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Enjoy with ketchup, mustard, pickles, or your favorite dipping sauce.

- Add diced pickles for a classic cheeseburger flavor.
- Use pepper jack cheese for extra heat.
- Mix in cooked bacon for a bacon cheeseburger version.
- Add sautéed mushrooms for a richer filling.
