Very leafy orchid, if you water it with this it will be 10 times more beautiful

If you’re asking about a very leafy orchid and want to make it healthier and more beautiful, there’s no watering ingredient that will reliably make it “10 times more beautiful.” Claims like that are usually exaggerated.

For healthy orchids:

  • Water with clean, room-temperature water when the potting mix is almost dry.
  • Fertilize with a balanced orchid fertilizer (such as 20-20-20) at about ¼ to ½ the recommended strength every 2–4 weeks during active growth.
  • Give it bright, indirect light and good air circulation.
  • Make sure the pot drains well so the roots don’t stay soggy.

If you saw a tip suggesting things like rice water, banana peel water, coffee, milk, or sugar water, these are not proven to improve orchids and can sometimes encourage mold, pests, or root problems.

If your orchid has lots of leaves but isn’t blooming, I can also help you encourage flowering.
