  • 2 salmon fillets (about 150–200 g each) Salmon
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon
Pat dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Sear the salmon

Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 4–5 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make lemon butter sauce
Lower heat. Add butter and garlic to the same pan. Cook for ~30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add lemon
Stir in lemon juice and zest. Let it simmer for 1 minute.
  5. Combine
Return salmon to the pan and spoon sauce over it for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Serve
Garnish with parsley. Serve with rice, vegetables, or mashed potatoes.

Tips

  • Don’t overcook salmon—it should stay moist and slightly pink in the center.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of honey or a pinch of chili flakes to the sauce.

If you want, I can also give you an oven-baked version or a creamy lemon butter variation.
