My nana taught me this hack to make dusty blinds sparkle in 2 mins with 0 work. Here’s how it works

If you’re looking for a quick way to make dusty blinds look cleaner, here’s a simple trick that works well:

The 2-minute blind-cleaning hack

You’ll need:

  • A clean microfiber cloth (or an old sock)
  • A little white vinegar mixed with water

Mix:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • ½ cup white vinegar

How to do it:

  1. Close the blinds so the slats face one direction.
  2. Lightly dampen the cloth—don’t soak it.
  3. Wipe each slat from one side to the other.
  4. Turn the blinds the opposite way and repeat.
  5. Dry with a clean cloth to prevent streaks.

Even faster method:
Put a clean sock over your hand, lightly spray it with the solution, and run your fingers along each slat. The sock grabs dust from both sides and gets into the narrow spaces.

For regular maintenance: Run a dry microfiber duster over blinds once a week so dust doesn’t build up.

Safety note: Avoid using vinegar on certain natural wood blinds or finishes unless the manufacturer says it’s safe, because acidic cleaners can damage some surfaces.
