The claim “This burns weeds in 1 day! They never grow again” is a common gardening headline, but it is usually misleading.
A weed killer may make leaves turn brown quickly, especially a contact herbicide, but that does not always mean the weed is gone. Many weeds can regrow from roots, bulbs, or underground stems.
For longer-lasting weed control:
- Remove the whole root system when possible.
- Use mulch or ground cover to block sunlight and prevent new growth.
- Use an appropriate herbicide carefully if needed (follow the label and local rules).
- Treat weeds when they are actively growing for better results.
If you have the name of the product or the “2 tablespoons” recipe from the video, share it and I can check whether it actually works and whether it is safe for your garden.
