Crunch base:

  • ½ cup condensed milk (or thick milk)

Chocolate topping:

  • 200g milk or dark chocolate
  • 1–2 tbsp butter or cream (for smoothness)

1. Make the base

  • Crush biscuits into fine crumbs
  • Mix with melted butter
  • Press firmly into a lined tray
  • Chill for 10–15 minutes

2. Make caramel layer

  • In a pan, melt butter + sugar on low heat

  • Add condensed milk and cook for 2–3 minutes until thick
  • Pour over biscuit base and spread evenly
  • Chill for 20–30 minutes until set

3. Add chocolate layer

  • Melt chocolate with a little butter (double boiler or microwave)

4. Cut & serve

  • Cut into bars or squares using a warm knife
