It’s embarrassing to post this, but how do I remove these stains?! I’ve tried cleaner, baking soda, and vinegar

Not embarrassing at all—stubborn stains are a very normal problem. The key is that different stains need different treatments, and baking soda + vinegar doesn’t always work (they can even cancel each other out).

To help you properly, I need one detail: what is the stain and where is it? (for example: toilet, mattress, clothes, sofa, tiles, carpet, etc.)

In the meantime, here’s a quick guide for the most common stubborn stains:

🟤 1) Yellow or brown toilet / bathroom stains

  • Try hydrogen peroxide (3%) or a toilet descaler
  • Let it sit 20–30 minutes, then scrub
  • For very hard stains, a pumice stone works on ceramic

🟡 2) Sweat / body stains on clothes or pillows

  • Soak in warm water + oxygen bleach (or laundry booster)
  • Wash normally after 1–2 hours
  • Avoid hot water first—it can set the stain

🟠 3) Grease or oil stains (kitchen, clothes, walls)

  • Use dish soap (cuts grease better than vinegar)
  • Rub gently, then rinse
  • Repeat if needed before drying

🟤 4) Mattress or sofa stains

  • Mix mild detergent + warm water
  • Dab (don’t soak)
  • Then blot dry with a clean towel
  • For odor: sprinkle baking soda, leave overnight, vacuum

⚫ 5) Mold or black spots

  • Use diluted bleach (only on tiles, not fabric)
  • Ventilate the area well
  • Never mix bleach with vinegar (toxic gas risk)

⚠️ Why baking soda + vinegar didn’t work

They react and neutralize each other, creating mostly water and foam—so they often don’t clean deep stains effectively.

👍 Simple rule that helps

  • Grease → dish soap
  • Mineral buildup (bathroom) → acid cleaners/descaler
  • Organic stains (sweat, food) → oxygen bleach or enzyme cleaner
  • Mold → bleach (carefully)
