How to remove the dark circle around the faucets

If you’re talking about the dark ring or stain around a faucet, it’s usually caused by one of three things:

  • 💧 Limescale/mineral deposits from hard water
  • 🧼 Soap scum buildup
  • 🦠 Mildew or mold in damp areas

Method 1: Vinegar for limescale

  1. Soak a cloth or paper towel in white vinegar.
  2. Wrap it around the stained area.
  3. Leave it for 30–60 minutes.
  4. Scrub gently with an old toothbrush.
  5. Rinse and dry.

Method 2: Baking soda paste

  1. Mix baking soda with a little water to form a paste.
  2. Apply to the dark ring.
  3. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Scrub gently and rinse.

Method 3: For mold or mildew

  1. Use a bathroom cleaner or a diluted bleach solution (follow label directions).
  2. Let it sit for a few minutes.
  3. Scrub and rinse thoroughly.
  4. Ensure good ventilation.

✨ Prevention

  • Wipe the faucet and surrounding area dry after use.
  • Fix any dripping faucets.
  • Clean regularly to prevent mineral buildup.
