Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Brown Sugar Pork Chops Recipe

These slow cooker brown sugar pork chops are an easy, comforting meal made with just four main ingredients. The pork turns tender as it cooks slowly in a sweet and savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4–6 boneless or bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced

(Optional: black pepper, paprika, or a pinch of chili flakes for extra flavor.)

Instructions

1. Prepare the slow cooker

  • Lightly grease the slow cooker with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.

2. Add the pork chops

  • Place the pork chops in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Season lightly with pepper if desired.

3. Make the sauce

  • Mix together:
    • Brown sugar
    • Soy sauce
    • Minced garlic

4. Slow cook

  • Pour the sauce over the pork chops.
  • Cover and cook:
    • Low: 5–6 hours
    • High: 2½–3½ hours

Cook until the pork is tender and reaches a safe internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) followed by a short rest.

Serving Ideas

Serve with:

  • Mashed potatoes (great for soaking up the sauce)
  • Rice
  • Roasted vegetables
  • Green beans
  • A simple salad

Tips for the Best Results

  • Choose pork chops with some marbling or use bone-in chops for more flavor.
  • Avoid overcooking, as very lean pork can become dry.
  • For a thicker sauce, transfer the cooking liquid to a saucepan and simmer briefly, or use a cornstarch slurry.

Flavor variation: Add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard or a splash of apple cider vinegar to balance the sweetness with a little tang.
