Ingredients

  • 2–3 lb (900 g–1.4 kg) pork loin or boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)

Instructions

  1. Place the pork in the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic.
  3. Pour the mixture evenly over the pork.
  4. Cover and cook:
    • Low: 6–8 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
  5. When the pork is fork-tender, slice or shred it and spoon the cooking juices over the top before serving.
