Magic Tomato Salad

Magic Tomato Salad is one of those simple-but-almost-addictive salads where basic ingredients turn surprisingly flavorful because of salt, acidity, and resting time.

Here’s a classic version you can make in minutes:


🍅 Magic Tomato Salad

Ingredients

  • 3–4 ripe tomatoes (juicy ones work best)
  • 1 small onion (red or white), thinly sliced
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1–2 tbsp lemon juice (or vinegar)
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional, but “magic” touch)
  • Fresh coriander or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the tomatoes
    Cut into wedges or thick slices so they hold their juice.
  2. Add onions
    Mix in thinly sliced onions for crunch and sharpness.
  3. Make the dressing
    Combine olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and sugar.
  4. Mix everything
    Pour dressing over tomatoes and toss gently.
  5. Let it rest (this is the magic part)
    Leave it for 10–15 minutes so the tomatoes release juices and blend with the dressing.
  6. Finish & serve
    Add fresh herbs if you like and serve slightly chilled or at room temperature.
