Easy Southern Honey Butter Skillet Corn (4 Ingredients)

A sweet, buttery side dish that comes together quickly and pairs well with grilled meats, roasted chicken, or holiday meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned and drained)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the butter and let it melt.
  3. Stir in the corn and cook for about 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly golden.
  4. Add honey and salt, then stir until the corn is evenly coated.
  5. Cook for another 1–2 minutes and serve warm.

Optional additions

  • A pinch of black pepper for contrast
  • A sprinkle of chili flakes or paprika for a little heat
  • A spoonful of cream cheese for a richer, creamier version

For frozen corn, there’s no need to thaw first—just cook a few extra minutes until heated through.
