THIS burns weeds in 1 day! They NEVER grow again

Claims like “this burns weeds in 1 day and they never grow again” are usually exaggerated. A weed killer can remove visible growth quickly, but permanently preventing weeds forever is rarely possible because new weed seeds can blow in, birds and animals can spread them, and roots may survive depending on the plant.

A common DIY weed-control mixture people share is:

Vinegar-based weed spray (for small areas)

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon white vinegar (higher-strength horticultural vinegar works better than kitchen vinegar)
  • A few drops of dish soap

How it works

  • Vinegar’s acetic acid can dry out and damage the leaves of many young weeds.
  • Dish soap helps the liquid stick to the leaves.

Important limitations

  • It usually works best on small, young weeds.
  • It may not kill deep roots of tough perennial weeds (such as some grasses or plants with underground runners).
  • It can damage nearby desirable plants if sprayed on them.
  • Strong vinegar products can irritate skin and eyes—use care.

Ways to reduce weeds long-term

  • Pull weeds before they flower and spread seeds.
  • Apply mulch (about 2–3 inches) around plants.
  • Improve lawn density so weeds have less space to grow.
  • Use landscape fabric in appropriate areas.
  • Remove roots when hand-pulling persistent weeds.

If you tell me where the weeds are (lawn, driveway cracks, garden beds, gravel, or patio), I can suggest the most effective approach for that area.
