Ingredients
- 12 celery stalks, washed and trimmed
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1–2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (chives, parsley, or dill)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the celery
- Cut celery stalks into 2–3 inch pieces.
- Pat dry with a paper towel so the filling sticks better.
- Make the creamy filling
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt (or sour cream), lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Fold in herbs, nuts, and cheddar cheese if using.
- Fill the celery
- Spoon or pipe the creamy mixture into each celery stick.
- Chill and serve
- Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes before serving for the best flavor and texture.
- Garnish with extra herbs or a sprinkle of paprika if desired.
