🍊 How to Dry Orange Peel at Home
Don’t throw away your orange peels! They can be dried and used for homemade recipes, teas, crafts, or natural fragrances.
Method 1: Air Drying
- Wash oranges well and peel them.
- Remove as much of the white pith as you can (it can taste bitter).
- Cut the peels into small strips.
- Spread them on a clean tray in a dry, well-ventilated place.
- Let them dry for several days until they become hard and brittle.
Method 2: Oven Drying
- Place peel pieces on a baking tray.
- Dry at a low temperature (around 90–100°C / 200–210°F) for about 1–2 hours, checking regularly.
- Cool completely before storing.
Store dried orange peel in an airtight container away from moisture and sunlight. 🍊✨
