That line sounds like a marketing hook, but there’s no single “magic” substance that permanently keeps ants away. Ant control usually works through a mix of removing what attracts them and blocking their entry routes.
Here are things that actually work:
1) Remove the food signal (most important)
Ants don’t arrive randomly—they follow scent trails.
- Wipe counters with soap + water or vinegar solution
- Store sugary foods sealed
- Clean crumbs, grease, and pet food spills quickly
2) Break their scent trails
- White vinegar (1:1 with water) sprayed on trails and entry points
- Soapy water also disrupts their chemical trails
3) Natural repellents (temporary but helpful)
- Peppermint oil (a few drops in water spray)
- Cinnamon or cloves near entry points
- Lemon juice along windows/doors
4) Physical barriers
- Seal cracks in walls, windows, and floors
- Use silicone caulk for entry points
5) Stronger long-term control (most effective)
If they keep coming back, you usually need bait, not repellent:
- Ant bait stations (they carry poison back to the colony)
- This is what actually eliminates the nest over time
If you want, tell me where you’re seeing ants (kitchen, bathroom, outside wall, etc.), and I can suggest a more targeted fix.
